Shannon is a kindergarten teacher who writes at night, and on weekends, in a tiny logging town east of Seattle, WA. She holds degrees in education and graphic design/illustration. When she isn’t writing novels or teaching little guys, she loves reading, watching scary movies, planning and obsessing over her notebooks, baking (gluten-free), and camping at the beach.
I’ve been writing and drawing since I was a kid, stealing my mom’s paper and her Swingline, making little books that I’d never finish because I always got a better idea. I’ve written poems, short stories, three and a half novels, and have always kept a diary, including writing journals to my kids since they were in the womb. As an illustrator (pen & ink, watercolor) I’ve had my art published in books, in magazines, on greeting cards, signs, menus, t-shirts, dirt bike helmets, and on people (tatoos). Someday I hope to get back into the publishing side of illustration.
